Koinoina’s mission is partnering with people who have developmental disabilities to achieve healthy, fulfilling, enriched lives. Koinonia Homes, Inc. (coin-oh-knee-ah) is a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that provides residential and vocational services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) throughout Cuyahoga County, Ohio. They are one of the largest provider of IDD services in the county. At the core of everything they do is the fundamental conviction that we exist to create an environment in which those we serve are able to flourish. They assert that living with an intellectual and/or developmental disability is not a “handicap” to a fulfilled life, nor is it an inhibitor to personal enrichment and growth. Koinonia serves the individual always walking alongside supporting, comforting, caring; and respecting personal desires, aspirations and individuality.

What we do there:
Participants in service with Koinonia assist with life enrichment activities, which impart various life skills and wellness concepts.
