Montefiore

Beachwood ,  OH  44122

Phone: (216) 360-9080

Description:
Montefiore is a nonprofit organization that offers a comprehensive system of healthcare services for seniors. Montefiore offers both residential and community programs with the goal of providing a continuum of quality care. Founded in 1882, Montefiore has more than a century of experience in caring for seniors. Programs include long-term nursing care, post-hospital care, a dementia special care unit, home health care, hospice care, wellness clinics, and rehabilitation therapies.

What we do there:
JCU students support some of the many recreational activities that Montefiore offers its residents, including: "Bubbe's Kitchen," a cooking program in which JCU students share stories and memories with Montefiore residents and provide support to residents by helping to cook simple, kosher recipes which all residents can participate in making together, and Bingo Night, where JCU students share stories and memories with residents while assisting with the weekly Bingo game, transporting residents, distributing materials, calling the game, and joining in the fun.
